The first day of 2025, Wednesday, is the scheduled start date for the 28th Dhaka International Trade Fair.
At ten a.m. on New Year’s Day, Chief Advisor Muhammad Yunus will open the nation’s biggest product display at the Bangabandhu Bangladesh-China Friendship Exhibition Centre, which is close to Purbachal New Town.
The month-long fair will feature 362 stalls in total. Up to eight nations, including Bangladesh, will participate in this year’s trade show.
“The honourable chief advisor will announce the inauguration of the 29th trade fair on Wednesday morning,” Abu Mukhles Alamgir Hossain, director of the Export Promotion Bureau (policy and planning), told bdnews24.com on Tuesday morning. We are preparing in a variety of ways.
“We have scheduled a press conference for this on Tuesday.”
“This time, there will be 362 stalls and pavilions at the trade show,” he continued. 351 of them are pavilions and stalls belonging to domestic businesses. Companies from seven different countries will occupy the remaining 11 stalls.
In order to prevent “unwanted and unpleasant incidents,” the Export Promotion Bureau has asked attendees to bring their institutional or national identity cards with photos to the trade show’s opening ceremony.
