The much-anticipated 10-point peace plan from Ukraine was reportedly presented at discussions on Saturday in Saudi Arabia.

Senior government representatives from almost 40 nations, including the US, China, and India, met in Jeddah for talks in the hopes of reaching a consensus on fundamental ideas for putting an end to Russia’s war in Ukraine peacefully.

Al-Arabiya and Al-Hadath were informed by a source from the Ukrainian delegation that “several countries” backed the recommendations.

The two-day conference is a part of Ukraine’s diplomatic effort to win over nations in the Global South to expand its base of support outside its traditional Western allies in the fight against the conflict, which has hurt the world economy.

The 10-point peace plan, which demands the complete departure of Russian forces from Ukrainian soil, will be the main topic of discussion, the office of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated this week.

The Jeddah conference comes after preliminary meetings in Copenhagen in June that did not result in an official statement, and the Ukrainian source claimed that the 10-point formula “received more support than in Copenhagen.”

A top White House official announced that Jake Sullivan, the US National Security Advisor, is leading Washington’s team to the Saudi city.
