18-Year-Old Led ‘Maya Gang’ Responsible for Amazon Manager’s Murder

Metropolis Desk-

The main suspect in the late-night murder of Amazon manager Harpreet Gill is an 18-year-old unlike any other. There are four murder cases, a dozen gang members, Instagram posts featuring guns and dramatic dialogue, and more.

“Naam badnaam, pata Kabristan, umra jeene ki, shauk marne ka,” which roughly translates to “I am infamous, the graveyard is my address, It’s my age to live, but I wish to die,” is the bio of his Instagram site, which has over 2,000 followers.

As you scroll down, you see Mohammad Sameer, aka Maya, posing for pictures while wearing colorful attire and having long hair. The images imply that he likes to take pictures. So far, it’s a portrait of a young person who enjoys dressing up and posing.

But if you click on the highlights, you’ll get a surprise. A reel with the label “jail” shows several young people imprisoned, while a different film shows Maya posing with and using firearms. One of them has the description “Maya Gang” and features a group of roughly a dozen teens. According to the authorities, this is a gang that has terrorized Northeast Delhi, not just a bunch of random youths trying to show off.

The gang refers to itself as the “Maya Gang” in honor of its leader. Police are seeking the other suspect in connection with the murder of Gill after detaining Maya and his 18-year-old accomplice Bilal Gani.

Police have discovered that Maya, who just turned 18, was a teenage accomplice in at least four homicides. This Sunday marks the 18th birthday of his associate Gani, who was charged with murder and robbery last year. Gani was incarcerated at a Children’s Observation facility, but he was able to escape and was now employed at a welding business.

While Harpreet passed away instantly, his uncle Govind, 32, is reportedly struggling for his life after being shot in the head by Maya.

Police have discovered that the shooting was a result of a road rage incident.

According to authorities, Harpreet and Govind were riding a bike down a small road at 10.30 p.m. on Tuesday. On two scooters, the accused Maya, Gani, and their friends Sohail (23), Mohammad Junaid (23), and Adnan (19) were leaving a party. In the constrained lane, the two-wheelers collided. The question of who would yield sparked a fight. The debate turned into a brawl, which allegedly resulted in Maya shooting Harpreet and Govind.

Police searched video from a CCTV camera in the lane, and then they made the arrests. Two suspects are seen riding a scooter with their faces hidden in the images.

The police stated that more investigation and efforts are being undertaken to apprehend the other accused.
