Two Bangladeshis were killed in firing by Indian Border Guard Force BSF at the Dolapara border of Hatibandha Upazila of Lalmonirhat. The incident occurred on the Dolapara border of the Barakhata Union of the upazila early Thursday (December 29).
The deceased are Sadiq Hossain, son of Hafizar of Dolapara village of Barakhata union of the upazila, and Monglu Mia, son of Samad Ali of Fakirpara village of the same union.
Locals said a group of border cattle smugglers went to the border early on Thursday morning. Later, the Indian Border Guard Force BSF fired several rounds at them. Two people were killed when the smuggling group was dispersed. Later, the companions who were with them recovered the bodies of both of them and gave them to the family members.
