Two militants sentenced to death fled from Dhaka court. The two fugitives were sentenced to death in the Jagriti Prakashani publisher Faisal Arefin Dipan murder case and writer and blogger Abhijit Roy murder case.
One of the two militants is Moinul Hasan Shamim alias Sifat Samir. His home is in Madhavpur village of Chatak upazila of Sunamganj. The other is Md. Abu Siddiq Sohail alias Shakib. He is a resident of Veteshwar village in Aditmari upazila of Lalmonirhat.
According to the police, after the militants threw spray at the police in the court premises, there was smoke all around. After that, the militants fled.
The police announced a reward to hand them over. Moinul Hasan Shamim and Md. Abu Siddique Sohail are accused in multiple cases.
