A three-day Lalon Memorial Festival has kicked off in Harinakunda upazila of Jhenidah.
The festival was inaugurated in Horishpur Lalon academy field on Thursday.
Researcher Dr Siddhartha Shankar, Deputy Commissioner Monira Begum, General Secretary of district unit Awami League Saidul Karim Minto and folk singer Abdul Latif Shah discussed Lallon Shah’s life and works in a function held there.
Lalon songs will be sung in the festival every day. A huge number of Baul and devotees of Fakir Lalon Shah gathered the festival.
A fair was also set up at the Lalon academy.
