Three people including a child were killed and five others injured following a collision between a CNG-run auto-rickshaw and a pickup truck at Kundarhat bus stand in Bogura’s Nandigram upazila on Monday.
The incident took place around 7:00am on Bogura-Natore highway in the bus stand area, said police.
The deceased were identified as auto-rickshaw driver Hefajul Islam, 45, and passengers Minhajul Rahman, 20, and one-year-old Abdul Alim.
Habibur Rahman, superintendents of police (SP), Highway Police in Bogura region, said a pickup truck collided with a Bogura-bound CNG-run-auto rikshaw at Kundarhat bus stand on the highway, leaving the three dead on the spot and five others wounded.
The injured were sent to Bogura Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College Hospital, said the SP.
