Different areas of the country, including Dhaka, were shaken by an earthquake of a 5.2 magnitude. On Monday, August 14, at 8:49 pm, there was a tremor.
According to Android Earthquake Alerts System, in addition to Bangladesh, the tremor was also felt in India, Myanmar, and Bhutan.
The earthquake’s epicenter was located 10 kilometers beneath the surface, according to the United States Geological Survey, and it began 18 kilometers to the northwest of the Karimganj district in Assam, India.
On the other hand, the Android Earthquake Alerts System asserted that the earthquake’s epicenter was 4 km from the Sylhet border in the Kanaighat upazila.
