At least five people lost their lives in a crash involving a pickup van and an autorickshaw in the Kawkhali Upazila of Rangamati.
The incident took place around 10:15am on Saturday in the Chairmanpara area of Betbunia, confirmed Md Saiful Islam, officer-in-charge of Kawkhali Police Station.
