According to a recent survey by the Bangladesh Bureau of Statistics, the number of children working in various jobs has increased to around 1.7 million, representing an increase of 77,203 youngsters over the preceding nine years.
The “National Child Labour Survey – 2022” was released at the BBS auditorium in the capital yesterday, but it shows that the engagement of kids in dangerous jobs has drastically dropped.
5 to 17-year-old kids were included in the study’s survey. A study on child labor was undertaken in 2013 by the Bangladesh Bureau of Statistics before the most recent survey.
