This year, 80.39 percent of students completed the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and comparable exams, a 7.05 percentage point decrease from the previous year. 87.44 percent of students last year passed the SSC and comparable tests.
The overall passing rates in different education boards of the country are 77.50 percent in Dhaka, 90.1 percent in Barishal, 78.3 percent in Chattogram, 78.4 in Cumilla, 76.8 percent in Dinajpur, 86.2 percent in Jashore, 87.9 percent in Rajshahi, 76.1 percent in Sylhet, 85 percent in Mymensingh, 83.4 percent under the technical education board, and 74.7 percent under the madrasa board.
Around 9:00 am, Dipu Moni, the minister of education, delivered the results to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
Candidates have the option of receiving their results online or by SMS. Candidates must text SSC, the first three letters of the board name, their candidate roll number, and the year to 16222 to receive the results for general boards.
For instance, a candidate who took the exams for the Dhaka board and has the roll number “123456” will need to submit the SMS to 16222 with the message SSC(space)Dha(space)123456(space)2023.

By entering their EIIN number, educational institutions can also receive results from https://dhakaeducationboard.gov.bd/.
