Barrister Nazmul Huda, a former minister and BNP leader, passed away Sunday night in a local hospital. He was 80. He passed away at Square Hospital at 10:25 pm.
The seasoned politician left a large number of loved ones and friends to grieve his passing, including his wife, Sigma Huda, and two kids, Antora Salima Huda and Srabonti Ameena Huda.
Huda, born in 1943, was four times re-elected as a lawmaker from the Dhaka-1 (Dohar and Nawabganj) constituency on the BNP platform.
Between 1991 to 1996, he was the minister of information. From 2001 to 2006, he was the minister of communications.
