Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) admission test circular for the session 2022-23 has been published. Like the last two years, the admission test will be in two phases. Initially, the requirements are a minimum GPA-4 in the secondary examination and GPA-5 in the higher secondary examination.
The top 18000 applicants will qualify for the pre-selection exam from among the students who have applied by meeting the requirements above. These 18,000 applicants will be divided into two shifts for the pre-selection examination. A total of 6000 students from the two shifts of the pre-selection exam, the top 3000 from each shift, will appear for the main exam.
The pre-selection exam will be held on 20th May, consisting of 100 multiple-choice questions carrying 100 marks and a duration of 60 minutes. Later, the main exam of 400 marks will be held on 10th June. The exam will ask questions from Higher Secondary Syllabus in Higher Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry.
BUET will admit students to a new department called Nanomaterials and Ceramic Techniques Department, with 30 seats available in this session. With these 30 seats added to the total, the number of seats rose to 1305. The application will start on 1st March and continue until 12th March 2023.
