A mother and her two kids were burnt to death when a fire broke out at their house in Natore’s Boraigram upazila on Tuesday night.
The incident took place at Khaksha village in the upazila around 9:00pm.
The deceased were Shoma Khatun, 33, her daughter Amia Khatun, 10, and son Omar, 10.
Meanwhile, Shoma’s husband Oli Boksh and local resident sustained burn injuries in the fire incident, said police.
Abu Siddik, officer-in-charge (OC) of Boraigram Police Station, said the fire originated from short circuit and soon engulfed the entire house. At that time, The gas cylinder exploded in the house, leaving the three dead on the spot and two others injured.
The injured were rushed to a hospital.
Later, firefighters rushed to the spot and doused the blaze, said the OC.
