Metropolis Report-
In the case involving the passing of Buet student Fardin Noor Parash, a Dhaka court on Thursday granted permanent bail to Amatullah Bushra.
In a report released on February 6 by the Detective Branch (DB) of the police, Bushra, who spent two months in jail after Fardin’s death in November of last year, was found not guilty of murder. At the Metropolitan Magistrate’s Court, Bushra presented a plea for bail in the case.
The next hearing of the case will take place on April 16; Metropolitan Magistrate Shanto Islam Mallik granted the bail.
Kazi Nooruddin Rana, Fardin’s father, submitted a petition at the same court asking for more time to file a motion of no confidence in the DB report that exonerated Bushra of all murder-related charges.
Kazi Nooruddin, the complainant in the Fardin murder case, stated in the petition that he disagreed with the investigation’s findings and planned to challenge them by filing a no-confidence motion on the following scheduled date.
He has also submitted a new petition asking for certified copies of all case materials. The magistrate approved both petitions following the hearing.
