The Religious Affairs Ministry stated on Wednesday that the price of each of the two hajj packages has been decreased by Tk 11,725 in response to widespread criticism of the excessive price of hajj packages.
The ministry also announced in an urgent circular that the hajj registration deadline has been extended to March 27. According to the circular, the Saudi government has lowered the cost of service for various nations by 413 Saudi Riyals.
Once set at Tk 6.83 lakh, the price of the hajj package under government control is now Tk 6.71 lakh. From Tk 6.72 lakh, the price of the package under private management has been lowered to Tk 6.60 lakh.
