Inspector General of Police (IGP) Chowdhury Abdullah Al Mamun stated that they are not aware of whether Arav is imprisoned there in response to a question from journalists following an Anti-Terrorism Unit (ATU) program at a Karwan Bazaar hotel.
Arav Khan, also known as Rabiul Islam, the gold merchant in Dubai, has been the subject of a red alert. Communication with Interpol and the Dubai police, according to Chowdhury Mamun, is still ongoing in this regard.
The IGP stated, “We are working on it,” when asked if there would be an issue bringing Arav back, given that he currently holds an Indian passport.
In connection with the murder of Mamun Imran Khan, the former inspector of the special branch of the police, the detective branch of the police filed a charge sheet against ten people on April 11, 2019, including Arav alias Rabiul.
