Nur-e-Alam Siddiqui no more

Nur-e-Alam Siddiqui, a former lawmaker and one of the main organizers of the Liberation War in 1971, passed away. He was 82.

Aniket Rajesh, his press secretary, informed the media that he passed away early today while receiving treatment at United Hospital in the city.

He was a former lawmaker of Jhenidah-2. His first namaz-e-janaza would be held there after Zohr prayers. 

His second namaz-e-janaza will be held at Azad Mosque at Gulshan, Dhaka.

A “guard of honor” will then be presented to Nur-e-Alam Siddiqui. Aniket Rajesh said he would be buried close to the mosque he constructed in Savar afterward.
