At the prestigious Bengaluru International Film Festival, “Nakshi Kanthar Jamin (A Tale of Two Sisters)” won the Third Best Film Award in the “Asian Competition” category. On March 23, the 14th iteration of this festival got underway.
The festival’s official Facebook page posted the following to share the news: “Hearty congratulations to the winners of BIFFes 2023. Asian Cinema Competition: Third Best Film – A TALE OF TWO SISTERS.”
Based on “Bidhobader Kotha” by Hasan Azizul Haq, “A Tale of Two Sisters,” directed by Kram Khan, and produced by Farzana Munny of TM Productions, this movie had previously been nominated for the 19th Barcelona Human Rights Film Festival’s competitive category.
At the Bengaluru International Film Festival, 12 other films from 8 different nations were competing in the Asian competition category. The Indonesian movie “Before Now and Then” and the Iranian movie “Motherless” shared the Best Film Prize.
