Metropolis Report-
Shakib Khan was summoned on Tuesday by a court in Dhaka to submit a response to a defamation lawsuit brought against him seeking Tk100 crore as compensation.
A First Joint District Judge’s Court official told the incident to the media on Tuesday. The matter was brought before Judge Md Masudul Haque’s First Joint District Court by producer Rahmat Ullah through the assistance of his attorney.
Defendant Shakib Khan was given until May 15 to submit his response in this case, per the court’s directive.
“We filed a case before this,” stated Rahmat Ullah’s attorney Mohammad Tabarak Hossain. “We must pay the court fee, the judge ordered. We gave it. In response, Shakib Khan was served with a summons by the court.”
Rahmat Ullah filed a slander lawsuit against Shakib Khan on April 13 in the court of Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Rashidul Alam. The plaintiff’s statement was accepted by the court, and the PBI was ordered to look into the matter.
Shakib Khan received a legal letter from his attorney earlier for making dishonest and disrespectful comments to the media.
On March 18, Shakib Khan visited the Gulshan police station to report Rahmat Ullah, but the police did not record the incident. Shakib voiced his displeasure with the police’s function.
He brought a written grievance against Rahmat to the Detective Branch (DB) office the following day.
Rahmat Ullah could leave the country at any time, in Shakib Khan’s opinion. He hurriedly addressed the law because of this.
Operation Agneepath’s main producer, according to Shakib, is Jaane Alam of Vertex Media, despite Rahmat Ullah’s statements to the contrary.
The famous actor had remarked angrily, “Rahmat Ullah defrauded millions by spreading lies to everyone. Rahmat Ullah is not playing this game alone, in my opinion. Behind him, there are several other participants.”
