Since cyclone Mocha has become an extremely strong cyclonic storm over the east-central Bay of Bengal, the maritime port at Cox’s Bazar has been instructed to hoist a warning signal 10 (Great Danger Signal).
For Chattogram and Payra ports, the warning signal is 8, and for Mongla, it is 4.
The details were revealed on Saturday at a meeting at the Secretariat by State Minister for Disaster Management and Relief Md Enamur Rahman.
According to him, Cyclone Mocha might make landfall in Cox’s Bazar’s coastal region between 6:00 am and 6:00 pm.
