Before a party gathering that was organized as part of its statewide program this morning, a number of homemade bombs detonated in front of the BNP office for the Natore district in Alaipur.
Two live homemade bombs were reportedly found there, but nobody was hurt, according to police.
BNP organized a nationwide march on Saturday to emphasize their ten-point demand, which includes denouncing the imprisonment and persecution of party officials and members in “false cases” and holding the upcoming elections under a non-party neutral government.
Around 8:30 am, as the party officials and activists were getting ready to organize a march, there were explosions.
