The Dhaka District Administration gave a house and a piece of land in Mouza, Wari to Sujata Azim, a well-known actress who was in financial trouble at a later age.
Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Mominur Rahman issued the directives for the transfer of the property and the land. Sujata thanked the Dhaka district administration and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina from the bottom of her heart.
According to District Commissioner Mohammad Mominur Rahman, the Dhaka district administration always attempts to guarantee that renowned artists who are in financial difficulty are provided with suitable lodging.
In the five decades since her acting career began in the 1960s, Sujata, one of the most well-known actresses of her generation in Bangladesh’s film industry, has played a variety of roles in more than 300 movies.
In addition, she got the Ekushey Padak, the second-highest civilian award, in 2021 for her achievements in the arts and the cinema industry, as well as the Lifetime Achievement Award at the 42nd National Film Awards.
