On Friday, June 16, at 10:46 am, a 5.0-magnitude earthquake was felt throughout the nation, including in Dhaka and neighboring areas.
Golapganj in Sylhet was the epicenter of the earthquake; there were two successive vibrations, according to Sylhet Met Office.
According to the United States Geological Survey (USGS), the earthquake’s epicenter was roughly 23 km southeast of Sylhet and 10 km beneath the surface.
The last three days have seen rain in Sylhet, and it has continued this morning. Earthquake during rain has generated terror across the city.
