Rajshahi University held several events to commemorate its 70th birthday on Thursday. The national and university flags were raised at the Shaheed Syed Nazrul Islam Administration Building at 10:00 am to kick off the day’s activities.
Prof. Md. Humayun Kabir, acting vice-chancellor, opened the gathering. During the events, senior teachers planted seedlings and led a colorful parade across the campus.
The acting VC unveiled the book “Rajshahi Biswabidyaloyer Sat Doshok: Smriti Satta Bortoman” at 11:00 am. The author of the book is Bangabandhu Chair of RU professor Sanat Kumar Saha.
