Zunaid Ahmed Palak, the state minister for post, telecommunications, and information technology in Bangladesh, has acknowledged that technical flaws were to blame for the online breach of millions of people’s sensitive personal information.
People were exposed to the material due to the website’s fragility. Because the gateway lacked the bare minimum of security and officials failed to consider that, the state suffered a huge loss as a result of the incident, according to Palak.
He announced 29 crucial institutions and the number is growing. He emphasized the significance of cyber security as well.
Over 50 million users’ names, birthdates, and National Identification (NID) numbers are among the data that was released; these details are easily found by performing a quick Google search.
