The power division has stopped work on installing a new 230/132 KV, 450 MVA transformer to boost the Rampura grid substation’s capacity.
So, contrary to what the authorities had earlier in the day stated, there won’t be any power outages in some areas of Dhaka, according to a press release.
According to the statement by Power Grid Company of Bangladesh public relations officer Badiuzzaman, the transformer installation was postponed from tomorrow to today for unavoidable reasons.
Later on, the revised installation date for the transformer will be announced.
