The co-chair of the Bangladesh Caucus in the US Congress, US Congressman Joe Wilson, stated his enthusiasm for strengthening business relations and fostering employment possibilities between Bangladesh and the USA.
Wilson, who was elected from South Carolina, emphasized Bangladesh’s progress toward a trillion-dollar GDP and the eradication of poverty.
He also praised Bangladesh for giving the Rohingyas a safe haven. Under Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, Bangladesh saw a socioeconomic revolution, as recounted by Ambassador Muhammad Imran of Bangladesh, who also thanked the United States for its ongoing support and humanitarian aid.
In addition to respecting Bangladesh’s national security, sovereignty, and international laws and principles, the US also recognizes, upholds, and honors the country’s founding concept of “Friendship to All and Malice to None”.
Numerous dignitaries, diplomats, top officials, academics, and members of civil society attended the reception.
