It was discovered that the bus driver in Jhalakathi had no legal license to drive a large vehicle, which caused the crash.
Mohan Khan, who is wanted for questioning, was not authorized to be driving the bus and only had a license for light vehicles.
Around 10:00 am, the bus, which was traveling between Barishal and Khulna, crashed into a water body.
Although the accident was attributed to the driver’s negligence, the bus’s fitness and road permit documentation were updated.
The district magistrate of Jhalakathi, Mamun Shiblee, is in charge of the five-person investigation team that is looking into the accident.
The Accident Research Institute of Buet will send a representative to the scene tomorrow.
