Russia Suggests BRICS Partners Build Orbital Station Module for Planned Station

Metropolis Desk-

The BRICS nations—Brazil, India, China, and South Africa—could construct a module for Russia’s envisioned orbital station, according to the country’s space agency.

The Russian Orbital Station (ROS) is scheduled to have its first module launched in 2027 and be fully operational by 2032.

One of the last venues for cooperation between Washington and Moscow was the International Space Station, which is probably going to be shut down by then.

To utilize low-Earth orbit for their national space projects, BRICS partners were invited to develop a fully-fledged module for the ROS by Roscosmos Director-General Yuri Borisov.

The station would travel around the poles of the planet, giving it a bird’s-eye view of Russia and the opportunity to collect fresh information on cosmic radiation.
