The draft agreement for deep and shallow sea oil and gas development has been authorized by the cabinet to address the nation’s expanding energy needs.
At Wednesday’s Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs, consent was given. After the meeting, Cabinet Division Additional Secretary Sayeed Mahbub Khan informed the media.
For deep and shallow sea oil and gas development, the Department of Energy and Mineral Resources has created a draft of the “Bangladesh Offshore Model Production Sharing Contract (PSC)” to fulfill the rising energy demand for the nation’s continuing economic growth, he added.
