Metropolis Report-
On August 1, train service between Dhaka and Narayanganj will restart after a nine-month hiatus caused by the Padma Rail Link project.
To complete the project, which entails building a dual-gauge double line, the Bangladesh Railway (BR) stopped operating trains as of December 4.
The dual-gauge double-line project on the Dhaka–Narayanganj route will shortly resume, according to a BR announcement.
A new contractor has been selected. The project, which was started in 2015 and has seen five extensions, intends to convert the 17 km track into a dual-gauge one.
