About violence and altercations between law enforcement and party officials and activists, the police have brought 11 cases against BNP leaders and activists.
In the 11 files submitted to seven police stations, at least 469 BNP males were identified, though many more went unnamed.
149 of the suspects have been detained by police, while the remaining ones have fled. Three more cases are now having their cases filed.
The complaints include allegations of unlawful assembly, degrading law and order, attacking police with the purpose to murder them, hurling homemade bombs at them, vandalizing, and torching both public and police vehicles.
Numerous areas of the city, including Nayabazar, Dholaikhal, Jatrabari, Matuail, Uttara, and Abdullahpur, saw the occurrence of the incidents.
