Metropolis Desk-
On Thursday, in light of the nation’s population’s future, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will introduce the Universal Pension Scheme.
The four types of plans that will be introduced are Pragati, Surokkha, Samata, and Prabashi.
Pragati is for people who work in the private sector, Surokkha is for people who are self-employed, Prabashi is for Bangladeshis who live abroad, and Samata is for people who are low-income.
Pensions under the plan begin at age 60 and are intended for people between the ages of 18 and 50.
After paying a premium for 10 years in a row, those over the age of 50 are now involved in the program and receive the pension option.
