Recent global participation in the International Falcon Breeders Auction was announced by the Saudi Press Agency. The Saudi Falcons Club held the auction at its headquarters in Malham, roughly 80 kilometers north of Riyadh.
The 21-day festival featured a variety of activities and brought together falcon enthusiasts from all over the world.
With sales up by more than 218 percent from the prior event, the auction had a phenomenal third round of success.
The auction resulted in the sale of 642 falcons for a total of more than SR8 million ($2.1 million).
More than 39 top breeding farms from 16 nations, including the US, Germany, Spain, the UK, and Austria, as well as regional farms, participated in the third auction.
The most expensive local Falco Cherrug from the Al-Nadir for Falcons Center, which was sold for SR500,000, was one of the auction’s record-breaking transactions. This bid was higher than the SR270,000 highest bid for a local falcon from the prior auction.
A pure ultra-white Falco Cherrug was additionally sold for SR550,000. A Falco Cherrug from an Austrian farm was sold for SR150,000 on the final night of the auction.
The auction has made a name for itself as an important outlet for domestic and foreign falcon breeding operations. As it displays a variety of premium breeds, it offers experienced falconers beneficial commercial chances.
A quick and live auction that drew participants from Saudi Arabia and other nations, as well as falconers, farmers, and enthusiasts, was used to achieve this. Social networking sites and TV networks both aired the auction.
The auction supports the Saudi Falcons Club’s mission to be a world leader in falconry research, innovation, breeding, production, and maintenance. It supports culture and the economy and raises environmental consciousness.
