Obaidul Quader, the minister of road transport and bridges and general secretary of the Awami League, announced on Thursday that the caretaker government system has been buried in the Azimpur cemetery.
“Why would the head of state step down? Never again demand the caretaker government. BNP is headed in the wrong direction. After a poor campaign, the BNP is now in danger of collapsing,” he stated.
Quader was addressing following the Thursday morning inauguration of 150 bridges and 14 overpasses at Sharak Bhaban in Tejgaon, Dhaka.
During his statement, the head of the AL emphasized Bangladesh’s progress over the past 15 years, stating that the world views this change as a marvel. “Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, who is the daughter of Bangabandhu, has shown inventive leadership in making this possible.”
“If you want to protect the development of this country, the achievements of this country, the democracy of this country, if you love the country, then there is no alternative to Sheikh Hasina,” he stated.
“Are they not aware that the British Prime Minister holds the Bangladeshi Prime Minister in high regard?” The US President took pictures in New York and at the G-20 (with Sheikh Hasina), he said.
Among the speakers at the event were Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan and Begum Raushan Ara Mannan, the Chairman of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on the Ministry of Road Transport and Bridges.
