There can be no talks with the BNP, stated General Secretary of the Awami League Obaidul Quader today.
“They [the BNP] have reverted to their previous terrorism and sabotage tactics. Thus, communication with terrorists is not possible,” he informed reporters at the Secretariat’s Road, Transport, and Highways Division in the nation’s capital.
“According to our prime minister, there would be no communication with a terrorist organization. Additionally, I’m saying that [we] won’t have any conversations with them,” stated Minister of Bridges and Road Transportation Quader.
Quader remarked, “The BNP has frequently been invited to debate. They have received calls from the president and the Election Commission, but they refuse to participate in discussions.
Their movement has been thwarted by them. “They killed a constable and attacked the police and chief justice’s house, so they have been shunned,” the minister continued. He stated that the country’s constitution will dictate when the election will take place. According to our suggestion, other nations don’t have elections. The AL leader questioned, “Why should we listen to them?”
Quader asserted that the UN is ineffective in resolving pressing problems, such as the wars in Gaza or Sudan.
In response to the UN’s Oct. 28 declaration on political violence, Quader stated they had been misled. “We want to say that this is not the right time for the UN to pay heed to Bangladesh.”
“Two parts of Sudan are emerging. What is Palestine going through right now? What does the UN say about Gaza is anyone paying attention?
According to Quader, the United Nations simply exists in name and serves no purpose in actuality.
“This place has witnessed an incident about Bangladesh’s election. It is possible to transmit various types of information. However, it does not damage them [the UN]. As its primary responsibilities, the world forum is unable to effectively address the humanitarian crises in Sudan and Gaza,” Quader stated.
