For about an hour, train service in the capital of the country and most other areas was suspended when a crane employed in the Dhaka Elevated Expressway project fell onto a railway track.
Chief of the Dhaka Railway Police Station Ferdous Ahmed Biswas said that the event happened on a portion of the railway on Saturday between Karwan Bazar and Moghbazar.
“The crane fell onto the railway around 6:40 am, disrupting train operations until 7:30 am,” according to him.
There were no confirmed injuries in the incident.
