Four Migrants Dead, 27 Rescued Off Greek Island of Kos

After their boat capsized near the island of Kos, Greece was able to rescue 27 migrants and recover the bodies of four others, the Greek coast guard announced Tuesday evening.

A commercial vessel and three Coast Guard ships conducted additional searches for individuals in the region, according to the agency.

More than a million people, primarily Syrian refugees, travelled by sea from Turkey to Greece in 2015, putting the European nation at the forefront of a migrant crisis.
