The 1990s saw the discovery of Moni Kishore, a singer who became famous, dead at his Rampura home in Dhaka.
Living alone in a house behind Bangladesh Television’s building was the singer of hit songs like “Ki Chhile Amar Tumi.”
Ataur Rahman Akondo, the chief of the Rampura Police Station, announced the discovery of Moni’s body around 10 p.m. on Sunday.
Following his wife’s divorce, Moni Kishore lived alone. According to him, his daughter resides in America.
His professional name was Moni Kishore, despite his official name being Moni Mondal. Adding “Kishore” to his name, according to Moni, was a tribute to the late singer Kishore Kumar, of whom he was a huge fan, he revealed in an interview.
In accordance with the OC, the landlord reported the body to the police, who then recovered it. When the landlord went to pick up the rent each month, he knocked on the door. For a while, there was no reply. After noticing a stench, the landlord called the police. The body was discovered on the bed by the police after they broke in.
The police have heard that no one has seen Moni outside for a few days. 4–5 days ago, they believe he passed away.
Since his body showed no signs of injury, the OC thinks Moni might have passed away from a medical condition.
“We discovered a few medical records, such as MRI and CT scan reports, at his residence.”
Ataur claims that the Dhaka Medical College Hospital conducted an autopsy on the body to ascertain the cause of death.
Despite the release of his last album ten years ago, the singer has continued to perform on radio and television. He gave erratic performances on stage as well.
Prior to entering the music industry, Moni worked in the textile industry, and he remained involved in it even after his music career became successful.
“Ki Chhile Amar Tumi,” “Shei Duti Chokh Kothay Tomar,” “Tumi Sudhu Amari Jonyo,” “Mukhe Bolo Bhalobasho,” and “Ami More Gele Jani Tumi” are among his more than 500 recorded songs.
Moni wrote over 20 songs, the most well-known of which is “Ki Chhile Amar Tumi.”
