Professor Muhammad Yunus, the chief adviser, has reiterated Bangladesh’s unwavering support for Palestine.
The UN Committee on the Exercise of the Inalienable Rights of the Palestinian People established the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People, which is being observed today.
Prof. Yunus demanded in his message that the Palestinians establish an independent, sovereign state with East Jerusalem as its capital, based on the pre-1967 borders.
In order to protect innocent lives in Gaza, especially those of women and children, he emphasized the urgent need for an immediate and comprehensive ceasefire.
Prof. Yunus emphasized the ICJ’s advisory opinion that Israel’s occupation is illegal and called for accountability for the crimes committed against Palestinians.
Bangladesh remains steadfast in its support of the Palestinian people’s legitimate fight for freedom, justice, and dignity.
