RSS to Hold Protest March to Bangladesh Embassy in Delhi on December 10

On Tuesday, December 10, activists from more than 200 social and cultural organizations will march to the Bangladesh High Commission in New Delhi, according to the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS).

In protest of “alleged atrocities” against minority communities, including Hindus, in Bangladesh, the demonstration will take place on International Human Rights Day.

At a press conference yesterday, Rajnish Jindal, co-in-charge of the media and communications department of the RSS Delhi unit, provided information, stating that representatives of a number of social, cultural, and religious organizations affiliated with the “Civil Society of Delhi” will be participating in the march. He also announced the dispatch of a memo.

The Bangladesh High Commission and international organizations like the UN, UNHRC, WHO, Amnesty International, and ADB are calling for prompt action to stop the “violence”.

Speaking at the event were former Intelligence Bureau Director General Rajiv Jain and former High Commissioner to Bangladesh Veena Sikri, both of whom expressed deep concern about the state of affairs.

“This is the worst situation for Hindus and other minority communities in Bangladesh since the Liberation War of 1971,” Veena Sikri said.
