White House: Israel Consulted US Before Strikes on Gaza, Fox News Reports

On Monday, Israel consulted the administration of President Donald Trump regarding its deadly strikes on Gaza, a White House spokesperson revealed during an interview on Fox News’ “Hannity” show.

“The Trump administration and the White House were consulted by the Israelis on their attacks in Gaza tonight,” White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt stated in the interview.

According to Palestinian medics in Gaza, dozens were killed following a series of intense Israeli airstrikes—the most violent since the ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hamas militants on January 19.

A senior Hamas official accused Israel of unilaterally violating the ceasefire agreement.

“As President Trump has made it clear—Hamas, the Houthis, Iran, and all those who seek to terrorize not just Israel but also the United States of America will face consequences. All hell will break loose,” the White House spokesperson said.

Trump had previously issued a similar public warning, demanding that Hamas release all hostages in Gaza or “let hell break out.”

The ongoing bloodshed in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict escalated on October 7, 2023, when Hamas militants attacked Israel, killing 1,200 people and taking approximately 250 hostages, according to Israeli allies.

Israel’s military response has since resulted in over 48,000 Palestinian deaths, according to Gaza’s health ministry. The offensive has also led to accusations of genocide and war crimes—allegations that Israel denies. Additionally, the war has internally displaced nearly all of Gaza’s 2.3 million residents and triggered a severe hunger crisis.

Trump has faced condemnation for his proposal to displace Palestinians from Gaza and have the U.S. take control of the enclave. Human rights groups, the UN, Palestinians, and Arab nations argue that his so-called redevelopment plan would amount to ethnic cleansing.

Meanwhile, Washington launched a fresh wave of airstrikes in Yemen on Saturday, claiming to have killed dozens of Houthi fighters. The Houthis reported at least 53 casualties, though Reuters could not independently verify the numbers.

Since November 2023, the Houthis have carried out more than 100 attacks on shipping vessels, stating that their actions are in solidarity with Palestinians amid Israel’s war in Gaza.
