In the last 24 hours, at least eight dengue patients died, while 692 more were admitted to various hospitals around the country today morning.
With the latest deaths, there have now been 213 dengue patients reported this year, bringing the total to 49,692 cases, of which 17,457 originate from outside of Dhaka.
Among the death cases, 126 died in Dhaka, 24 in Cox’s Bazar, 28 in Chattogram, nine in Barishal, seven in Khulna, five in Mymensingh, two each in Rajshahi and Narail and one each in Narsingdi, Kushtia, Pabna, Bagerhat, Khagrachhari, Bogura, Madaripur and Feni, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
