Following yesterday’s clash in the Bancharampur Upazila of Brahmanbaria, which resulted in the death of a Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal member, police filed a case against 17 BNP leaders and activists.
The primary defendant was Rafiqul Islam, a former organizing secretary of the Jubo Dal Banchharampur Upazila unit and a resident of Charshibpur village, according to the police.
The police said that between 100 and 120 unnamed people were also charged in the case.
