Asaduzzaman Khan, the home minister, stated that the BNP would be granted permission to stage its rally in Suhrawardy Udyan on December 10 on certain terms.
At a program this afternoon in Sadarghat, he remarked, “We advised our (DMP) commissioner to inform them (BNP leaders) that they would gain permission to organize their rally at Suhrawardy Udyan.”
However, he emphasized that they must abstain from all acts of violence. He said, “We are not hindering the BNP from having rallies across the nation.
A BNP delegation visited Khandaker Golam Faruk, the DMP Commissioner, earlier on November 15 to get permission to organize a rally on December 10 in front of the BNP’s office in Nayapaltan, Dhaka.
