Lionel Scaloni, the coach of Argentina, acknowledged the support their team has received throughout the World Cup in Qatar.
In a press conference prior to Argentina’s match against Australia in the round of 16, he also thanked the Bangladeshi supporters for supporting their team.
“It has historically occurred that Argentine fans always make themselves known. The weather is lovely, and for that, we are immensely grateful. It seemed like we were playing in Argentina, so perhaps tomorrow will be similar to playing in Argentina.”
“The National Team jersey has caused craziness around the world for years because we had Diego (Maradona), and now we have Lio (Messi). We are pleased that our supporters are in Bangladesh and many other countries. Many thanks to Bangladeshi people.”
“In this World Cup, we will drop every last drop of sweat. We are aware of how challenging it is and that there are well-prepared teams because it’s football,” said Scaloni.
