Messi scored yet another goal in the World Cup for Argentina. It was with his goal that Argentina breached Australia’s defense.
Argentina reached the quarter-finals defeating Australia 2-1 in the last sixteen of the World Cup. Apart from Messi, Julian Alvarez scored another goal for Argentina.
Argentina themselves scored Australia’s goal as well. Enzo Fernandes scored a suicide goal. However, Argentina did not have a problem winning the game.
Lionel Messi played the 1000th match of his career. Argentina fans were looking at him, and Messi did not disappoint them either. He played dexterously throughout the game.
Messi scored his ninth goal in the World Cup and the first one in the knockout round.
