The Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has permitted the BNP to hold a rally at the capital’s Golapbagh field on Saturday.
BNP Central Committee Vice Chairman AZM Zahid Hossain told reporters on Friday afternoon that the permission for the rally at Golapbagh field was informed to them by the senior officials of DMP.
Zahid Hossain spoke to reporters in front of the gate of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police Intelligence Branch (DB) office on Minto Road in the capital around 3 pm.
He said they sought permission to hold a rally at Bir Shrestha Shaheed Sepahi Mohammad Mostafa Kamal Stadium in the capital’s Kamalapur. But the police did not allow it because of the game going on there.
Zahid Hossain said the BNP rally would be held at Golapbag field tomorrow.
