In the early hours of today in Dinajpur’s Phulbari Upazila, a pickup van crashed with a bus, killing three persons. Pickup van driver Oli Ullah, 23, his assistant Md Nishan Islam, 25, and passenger Motassim Billah, 33, were named as the deceased.
A pickup van from Phulbari headed for Rajshahi collided with a bus headed for Dinajpur near Bhimalpur village on the regional road between Dinajpur and Gobindaganj around 4 am, according to Phulbari Police.
Members of the local fire department and civil defense team recovered the bodies based on information. The bus driver fled the crash scene before police could apprehend him.
